CAA's president, Brad Erickson, executive director, Lisa Caretto, California Alliance for Arts Education (CAAE) executive director Laurie Schell and lobbyist for CAA and CAAE, Kathy Lynch presented two legislative briefings hosted by Arts Council Silicon Valley in San Jose and Menlo Park on May 1. Thank you to the Arts Silicon Valley executive director Bruce Davis and communications manager Josh Russell for bringing together city officials, arts administrators, foundation executives and arts supporters to learn about the issues before the state legislators and how their nonprofit organizations can be effective arts advocates.
