The State of California continues to spend
3 cents per capita for the Arts this year.
Guam spends $1.55 per capita * Puerto Rico spends $6.45 per capita
California spending for the Arts continues to be
50th in the nation.

Thanks to the statewide marketing efforts of the California Arts Council and arts organizations,
it is the Arts License Plate owners who contributed
$2,813,000 in FY 2006-07 and $2,804,000 in FY 2007-08 to the California Arts Council budget .
Arts License Plate revenue goes directly to arts education and local programming.
