We have a tremendous opportunity to use the collective clout of our boards, our audiences and our donors to influence public policy.

Educate state legislators and specific interest groups to the positive impact the arts have in the overall quality of life in California, including education, the economy, tourism, and solutions to social problems.

Involve local chambers of commerce and local businesses and their patrons in the support of arts and culture in California.

Engage the media in a campaign to increase the visibility of arts, culture and heritage in California.

Write, call, fax or e-mail your views to your elected representatives, newspaper editors, and community leaders. Inform policy makers about your arts organization and the need for their support for the arts in California.

Register and exercise your right to vote.  Inform candidates about your organization and ask for their support when elected.
